In some cases, frozen foods have more vitamins and minerals than fresh foods because fresh foods lose vitamins and minerals over time while freezing preserves nutrients. Frozen foods can be a convenient and affordable way to include healthful foods from every food group, including whole grains, fruits, vegetables, protein and dairy. In addition to a time-saving convenience, frozen foods can benefit individuals with limited kitchen space or utensils. Not only can frozen foods be more affordable in price, but they can also reduce food waste. How to choose Frozen Food? When you buy frozen foods, look for products that don't have a lot of added sugar, sodium, or high-calorie sauces. This can be a little tricky when you get beyond a simple bag of veggies. Here are a few tips for selecting frozen foods that honor your personal taste and health values.
